Day 1

Arrive Paro. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Paro valley.Visit Paro Ta Dzong Museum and then descend on foot to the impressive Rinpung Dzong.

Day 2

Hike to Taktsang monastery (the “Tiger’s Nest”).The round-trip takes about 4 hours and includes a visit to the monastery. Afternoon visit Drugyel Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan

Day 3

Drive to Thimphufor full day sightseeing. Visit the Buddha point ,Folk Heritage Museum, Institute for the 13 Traditional Arts (Zorig Chusum),Institute of Traditional Medicine, Textile Museum,and the impressive Thimphu Dzong

Day 4

Full programme of sightseeing in Thimphu. Day excursion to Tango monastery, PangriZampa Institute of astrology, the vegetable market area (Fresh vegetables from the countryside are sold here from Fri – Sun) and early evening take a stroll to the Memorial Chorten

Day 5

Drive to Punakha (2½hrs).Full day sightseeing in Punakha valley.Drive to Punakha (2½hrs). Full day sightseeing in Punakha valley. On the way stop at Dochula       pass. Then descend to 1,200m and visit Chimi Lhakhang. Continue towards Punakha Dzong, which was the old capital of Bhutan

Day 6

Drive to Trongsa (5½ hrs). Option for short hike from viewpoint to Trongsa Dzong. Visit Dzong & the museum.

Day 7

Drive to Bumthang (2 hrs).Sightseeing in Bumthang.Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Tamshing monastery and if the timing is right see the monks debating in Karchu Dratshang (usually between 4:30 and 6:00pm).

Day 8

Sightseeing in Bumthang valley. Day excursion to Tang valley, Ogyen Choling Palace museum& Lake Mebartsho. Alternative day trip to Ura village. Full day hike options to Tharpaling or Kunzangdrak are also possible. Please let us know your preferences.

Day 9

Drive from Bumthang to Mongar (5 hrs).CrossUra village

Day 10

Sightseeing/walking in Mongar. Optional excursion to Lhuntse to visit the weaving village of Koma and the dzong.

Day 11

Drive to Trashigang (2½ hrs). Visit the small town of Trashigang, Ranjung monastery.

Day 12

Drive to Trashiyangtse. Visit Chorten Kora and woodcarving school. O/N Tashiyangtse

Day 13

Excursion to Bumdeling Wildlife Nature Reserve. Drive to Trashigang.

Day 14

Drive to Samdrup Jongkhar. En route visit Kanglung College and Khaling Weaving Centre.

Day 15

Exit to India for onward flight connection.
